Awesome New Song
While feeding my Portishead addiction (did I thank you for that, [info]callieach?), I came across a very similar group called Massive Attack. Accidentally, I discovered that it is Massive Attack who provide the *awesome* theme to House, an actual track of theirs called Teardrop. Check out the slightly artistically-creepy video HERE. (But I warn you, it's YouTube, so it could be removed at any time).

This song is my new favourite thing. There are no words to express how amazing the artist is, and how insanely calming and wonderful the song itself is.

Reminds me of a similar Canadian-made band that made great chill-out music. Are they still around? Let's find out ... oh my gosh, they are! The band is called Delerium, and they make awesome, awesome music too.

EDIT: You can also check out the vid for my most favourite Delerium song, Innocente (Falling in Love), with guest vocals by Leigh Nash. (Yes, the singer from Sixpence None The Richer). Oh, I wrote so many great works of art to Delerium's albums...

Ramble Ramble Ramble

Am having a hell of a time sitting down, with my damn tailbone acting up again. *grumble grumble*. I hate getting old. I hate this body. I hate hate HATE lots of things right now, and am grumpy and feel like swearing like a sailor. So I'll make this short. (*snap snap snap*)

Another cool meme, snagged from [info]callieach:

Rules:

1. Have your music library ready.
2. Choose one song from your music library whose title starts with the first letter (or number) of your screen name.
3. Repeat this process with each successive letter (or number) in your screen name until you run out of letters (or numbers).
4. Post up your results.

Keep On Tryin' - Poco
I Alone - k's Choice/Anouk
Maybe Not - Cat Power
Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts (also by Selah)
Everybody's Fool - Evanescence
River - Joni Mitchell
Kiss Me - Sixpence None The Richer
All The Fun of the Fair - Anthony Stewart Head/George Sarah
The Seed 2.0 - The Roots
I Promise You - Judith Owen
Elmo - Holly McNarland

(whoa, my username is long, and "E" and "K" are damn hard letters to find songs with. I had to go to my actual CDs for those ones...)

Now I'm going to watch Aliens in a Spaceship, and eat my chocolate cherry soy ice cream, so I don't get angry and kill somebody tomorrow at work...
