While feeding my Portishead addiction (did I thank you for that,
callieach?), I came across a very similar group called Massive Attack. Accidentally, I discovered that it is Massive Attack who provide the *awesome* theme to House, an actual track of theirs called Teardrop. Check out the slightly artistically-creepy video HERE. (But I warn you, it's YouTube, so it could be removed at any time).
This song is my new favourite thing. There are no words to express how amazing the artist is, and how insanely calming and wonderful the song itself is.
Reminds me of a similar Canadian-made band that made great chill-out music. Are they still around? Let's find out ... oh my gosh, they are! The band is called Delerium, and they make awesome, awesome music too.
EDIT: You can also check out the vid for my most favourite Delerium song, Innocente (Falling in Love), with guest vocals by Leigh Nash. (Yes, the singer from Sixpence None The Richer). Oh, I wrote so many great works of art to Delerium's albums...
